Oh, well, hey there! You clicked on "Who is Pop Starz Atl," so buckle up, buttercup, because you're about to get the inside scoop—and a few giggles along the way!

I'm Shontel Kealoha, but you can call me Shonni. Or, if you're one of my side-splittingly loyal customers, you might know me as The Pusher. No, not that kind of pusher! I push cake pops, not... you know.

From the wee age of... well, wee, I had a kitchen fascination. I'd watch people whip up culinary masterpieces like it was a live TV show. Soon enough, I was the one stirring, mixing, and creating. Every Christmas, I'd bake a cookie cavalcade to give away. Spoiler alert: I didn't even bake cakes back then. Plot twist, right?

Fast forward to 2012, I turned the ripe, cake-popping age of 38. A friend made me cake pops, and my mind? Blown. I had to learn how to make these tiny morsels of joy. I went full mad scientist, concocting flavors every weekend for a month. I even took them to work for feedback. My coworkers were my unsuspecting guinea pigs... uh, I mean, taste testers. One of them suggested I sell the pops. I thought she was bonkers. And guess what? She was my first customer. Thus, PopStarzAtl popped into existence!

It wasn't an overnight sensation. More like an over-a-lot-of-nights sensation. I had a full-time job and zero clue where this cake pop adventure would lead. I decided not to push it (haha!) but to just roll with it.

By 2016, while temporarily working from home (in pajamas, because who actually dresses up for work-from-home?), I realized this could be my main gig. The universe heard me. Two years later, I got laid off. Serendipity or just a cosmic joke? Either way, it meant I could finally focus on my budding business without corporate distractions.

The journey has been nothing short of awesome sauce. The support has been heartwarming, and the growth....  Well, let’s just say it’s rising faster than a cake in an oven. I'm excited for what’s next and ready to make Pop Starz Atl as grand as my Pinterest boards.
